Compiling Tutorial

Mega lols tut for compiling.

This tutorial will cover how to compile default, pre-existing models from HL2, as seen in my Crowbar Mega Pack.

    Hey, awesome tut, it worked! but when i tried to compile deagle or my knife (edited in 3ds max and then imported back to milkshape)and when i started the game (wasn't checking in model viewer) the weapons i edited were invisible!

    It's a very nice, and helpfull tutorial!

    Pff.. gave me a nice laugh when the MDLdecompiler crashed all the time x)

    It was nice, and i will try to do some compiles/hacks

    .. and if you haven't alleredy done it, or.. anyone that have?.. could you then make one, just with guns etc. like a .. part2 :P

    Most people never realize (or mention) that models have a material (or need one) within the models themselves - without them correct u will get purple and black. You can assign material names in 3ds max or in milkshape, and the material in the model needs to be the same as the .vmt name.

    Thanks for the speedy reply. Basically I got snark's holosight from an insergency skin. So how do I go about getting the material in the model? (that sounds dumb :P
