How to make a Background for any source game

NOTE: .jpg preview is vtfedit opening a Gmod picture of heavy i made.

  1. Download a Picture you want to be your background.
  2. Download VTFEdit. (https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/VTFEdit)
  3. Open VTFEdit and Click File>Import And Select Your Photo.
  4. An interface will pop up asking about certain options. ignore it and press "ok". 4B. Wait for it to fully load. If you Click on it to much While it's loading, It will Crash. 5.Select File>Export And Name it Background_01.vtf Save it To your Desktop.
  5. Move The File to your Directory: steam/steamapps/USERNAME/(game of Choice)(game Directory file)\materials\console 7.When you Launch The Game your Picture should be the background. Have Fun!
